The total cost is £1,125 (inclusive of VAT).
A 25% discount is available for Oxford University alumni and those who have completed an online short course offered by the Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment or the Blavatnik School of Government, in partnership with Boundless Learning.
The course must be paid in full up front.
Unfortunately, we don’t provide financial aid for the AI short course.
There are no additional costs. All course materials and resources are provided within the learning platform.
You have the statutory right to cancel your order at any time within 14 days after the day on which we accept your order and receive a full refund if you have not started using the services.
To cancel your order, you must notify us at oxfordshortcoursesupport@boundlesslearning.com.
If you wish to defer your course start date, you can do so provided you send a request in writing to oxfordshortcoursesupport@boundlesslearning.com and email your facilitator. Deferrals will only be accepted up to seven days after the course start date.
The deadline for enrolment will be 1pm GMT the day before the course is due to start.
The course is delivered 100% online via our easy-to-use learning platform.
It comprises of four modules in total, and each will be released on a weekly basis.
While there is a weekly schedule, you have the flexibility to study when it suits you. There are no live elements to the course – videos are pre-recorded, and tasks are pre-set so they can be picked up whenever you want during the seven days each module is live.
However, please be aware of any submission deadlines for assignments, as these are fixed to ensure you complete the course in four weeks.
The course takes four weeks to complete, with a recommended study time of three to five hours per week for each module.
Each module is released on a weekly basis. Once the module is live, you can access its content and resources at any time within those seven days.
You can access the course on a desktop computer, laptop, tablet, or smartphone.
For the best experience, we recommend using an up-to-date desktop browser.
You’ll have access to the course materials for a year from the course’s end date.
You will have access to a course facilitator who can provide academic support throughout the course. You can contact them via instant message within the learning platform.

The course is 100% online so you’ll need a stable internet connection and suitable equipment like a laptop. All learning materials will be provided via the online platform.

There’s no minimum internet speed required to participate in the course, but you will need a stable connection to access the learning platform and engage in the activities and tasks.

If you have any technical issues, you can contact the Helpdesk Support Team. They’re available seven days a week, and you’ll typically receive a response within 24 hours. We’ll share contact details for the helpdesk once you’re enrolled.
The course director for the online AI short course is Nir Vulkan, Professor of Business Economics at the Saïd Business School at Oxford University.
In addition to teaching from Professor Vulkan, you’ll also hear from other Oxford University academics and industry professionals, and you’ll have a course facilitator who will support you with academic queries across the four weeks.
In addition to his role as Professor of Business Economics at the Saïd Business School at Oxford University, Nir Vulkan is also a member of the Oxford Man Institute for Quantitative Finance and has been a Fellow of Worcester College for over 20 years.
His research focuses on algorithmic trading, FinTech, and AI in finance and market design.
In 2020, he was the Chair of the Banking and Finance Committee on Ethical AI, advising the EU on when and how to regulate AI applications in finance.
Professor Vulkan has a BSc in Mathematics and Computer Science from Tel Aviv University and a PhD in Mathematical Economics from University College London.
There are no live lectures so you can’t interact with Professor Vulkan during the course. However, you can speak with your course facilitator via instant message on the learning platform, and your fellow learners on discussion forums.

Yes. If you achieve a passing grade of 75% or higher, you’ll receive a certificate of completion from Worcester College at the University of Oxford.

While you won’t receive a formal qualification at the end of the course, adding details of the certificate to your CV and LinkedIn profile demonstrates your commitment to continuous learning and a proven proficiency in the subject area.
